Mangla aarti is important because it is first aarti in the morning. The Scriptures talk of the "Brahma muhurta" hour. It means one hour and a half before the sun comes up. This time is very auspicious because the sun is pushing all of the energies of the Earth from a sleeping stage to an awakened stage. Similarly it is pushing the mind, the intelligence, and the bodies of all the living entities from a sleeping stage to a higher stage of awakening. Therefore, mangla aarti is calculated to be at that time, and if we give our attention and energy towards glorifying the Lord, it is very beneficial and auspicious to begin the day hearing and chanting about the glories of the Lord.

About Varanasi
The north Indian city of Varanasi, or Benares, is regarded as sacred by Hindus, Buddhists and Jains. Situated in the fertile Ganga valley and on the banks of the Ganges, Varanasi is a place of pilgrimage for Hindus, who come to bathe in the holy river. Known as the City of Temples and a beacon of culture, Varanasi has produced many renowned writers. It’s also a centre of silk weaving, so practise haggling at the chaotic bazaar for some beautiful souvenirs. Rickshaws are the best way to get about.
The Kashi Vishwanath Temple stands on the west bank of the River Ganges. It is dedicated to Shiva, who has been worshipped here for hundreds of years in the form of Vishwanatha or Vishweshwara, “Ruler of the World.” There were several earlier versions of the temple.
Shiva is all and everything; he is the Universe.
The two eyes of Shiva are one-sided, and to get a perfect balance, you need to see his third eye.
When the world puts you in trouble, Mahadev rescues you.
Shiva teaches you to do deeds that are good for this world.

Sarnath
In the Pali Canon, a collection of scriptures that forms the belief system and history of the Theravada Buddhist tradition, this village for referred to as “Isipatana”, meaning “a place where holy men landed”. The name Sarnath, however, comes from the Sanskrit language, where the word “Saranganatha” has the meaning of “Lord of the Deer”. This may be due to the tale of one of Gautam Buddha’s previous lives as a Bodhisattva (a person who delays their ascent into enlightenment due to their display of compassion for beings who are still suffering) who was leading deer through a forest. There was a king who lived nearby who wished to hunt his deer, so this Bodhisattva struck a deal with him - that he would only hunt these animals one by one, per the Bodhisattva’s instructions. The king agreed, but then one day, the time came for the king to kill a doe who was to give birth to a fawn. To save this doe’s life he offered his own life to the king. The king, rocked to his core by this act of sacrifice, decide to create a sanctuary for deer in that forest instead. This sanctuary is said to be Sarnath’s famous Deer Park, where deer still live and thrive to this day.

History of Rajasthan The history of the Indian state of Rajasthan is about 5000 years old. The history of Rajasthan can be classified into three parts owing to the different epochs- Ancient, Medieval and Modern. Ancient Period, up to 1200 AD Rajput clans emerged and held their sway over different parts of Rajasthan from about 700 AD. Before that, Rajasthan was a part of several republics. It was a part of the Mauryan Empire. Other major republics that dominated this region include the Malavas, Arjunyas, Yaudhyas, Kushans, Saka Satraps, Guptas and Hunas. The Rajput clans ascendancy in Indian history was during the period from the eighth to the twelfth century AD. The Pratihars ruled Rajasthan and most of northern India during 750-1000 AD. Between 1000-1200 AD, Rajasthan witnessed the struggle for supremacy between Chalukyas, Parmars and Chauhans. Medieval Period, 1201 - 1707 Around 1200 AD a part of Rajasthan came under Muslim rulers. The principal centers of their powers were Nagaur and Ajmer. Ranthambore was also under their suzerainty. At the beginning of the 13th century AD, the most prominent and powerful state of Rajasthan was Mewar. Modern Period, 1707 - 1947 Rajasthan had never been united politically until its domination by Mughal Emperor - Akbar. Akbar created a unified province of Rajasthan. Mughal power started to decline after 1707. The political disintegration of Rajasthan was caused by the dismemberment of the Mughal Empire. The Marathas penetrated Rajasthan upon the decline of the Mughal Empire. In 1755 they occupied Ajmer. The beginning of the 19th Century was marked by the onslaught of the Pindaris.
